What is CKDa Architecture?

CKDa Architecture was founded in 2018, combining years of working on a variety of large scale commercial projects to intimate single family homes. My practice focuses on addressing my client's issues through comprehensive design that will enhance their built environment, while promoting well being and sustainability.

​

Susana Sequeira graduated Summa Cum Laude from Kean University with a Bachelors of Science in Marketing and with honors from New Jersey Institute of Technology with a Masters Degree in Architecture.  While at NJIT, she received a Housing Scholar Award, where she was chosen to work for the Jersey City Housing Authority.  She was also a member of Alpha Epsilon Lambda, the Honor Society for Graduate and Professional Students, and granted a Provost Scholarship.

In her free time, Susana participates on several community service boards.  She has sat on the board of Kean Alumni Association and is the current President of the Portuguese American Civic Association in Union, NJ. Susana is fully fluent in English, Portuguese, & Spanish. Since 2020, Susana has been teaching architecture at local colleges, including Kean University and UCNJ. There, she educates students on design principles, drawing, and how space can influence people.
